i totaly agree with the diet thing. i have tried lots of diets where i am very strict. unfortunatly i have not had success with this. the only thing i found to work was my pills or to eat continuously. i know the pills will work in the shot term untill they cause damage. i am now on a waiting list to get checked out at my local hospital unfortunatly the waiting list is like 3 months :(

I was diagnosed with LPR or Silent Reflux. I never get heartburn but I have asthma symtoms, belching, occasional choking while trying to swallow, post nasal drip,& bad breath.

My doctor put me on PROTONIX to see what happens, it has been 3 days so far. I am hoping my symptoms go away so I know this is what is wrong with me and I can try to figure out what the root cause of this may be. It seems to be more difficult with LPR as opposed to traditional acid reflux as the symtoms are more subtle.

Great video, I’ve been really suffering with acid for about 4 weeks, and although I consider my diet to be very good. I have been stressed and over indulging too much.

I have from my doctor some sample PPI drugs, but have been very reluctant to take them. Much to my wife’s displeasure.

I think some time to heal is whats needed and not a short term fix as you say.

    I hear
    Local Honey
    Apples
    Apple cider vinegar
    Probiotics
    Ginger

    Are all good natural remedies.

The refined sugar and the fat content in the ice cream would more likely cause the reaction.

The hotness or coldness of what you eat would most likely not cause acid reflux.

A combination of carbs and fat can trigger it in some people.

Eat bread only - no acid.
Eat sausage only - no acid.
Eat a chili cheese dog w/ a bun - acid reflux.

Ice cream is likely wise high carbs and high fat.

I had a problem with waking up at night with what was basically vomit draining into my lungs. I would sit up coughing and gasping. Not fun. All I did was stop eating within a couple hours of going to bed. Problem solved.

Dr. Bellonzi, I have to agree with you about not taking drugs to fix the body. Society today, eats mostly fast food, which is not beneficial for the body at any age. People are starting to damage their bodies at a younger age beacause of fast food. The body is designed to function best by eating mostly raw foods. Using a natural nutritional product is good for helping solve the problem, but changing your diet is most important.
